This is the protocol for adding a PERSON (not a client) as a FB AD Manager.

SCENARIO 1: Adding newly hired FB AD Managers to your Agency’s Business Manager Accounts.

Step 1:  Log into your business manager: www.business.facebook.com

Go to Business Settings → All Tools → Settings → Business Settings

add someone to fb ad manager account

Click on PEOPLE (which is under people & assets)

Click ADD NEW PEOPLE

Type in the email address of the FB AD Manager (which is associated with their FB account)

Assign their role

Select option 2 = Add as a business manager employee

Click ADD PEOPLE

Skip adding them to a page

Skip adding them to an account (UNTIL they have confirmed the business manager invitation in their email and are no longer showing as pending)

 

STEP 2 & SCENARIO 2: Adding FB AD Managers to Assets (Pages, Accounts)

Step 1: Log into your business manager: www.business.facebook.com

Go to Business Settings → All Tools → Business Settings

Click on PEOPLE (which is under people & assets)

Select Confirmed AD Manager

Click the button ASSIGN ASSETS

Click AD ACCOUNTS

Select applicable AD Accounts

Click SAVE CHANGES

 

Repeat the process to add the page that they are going to be managing.

Click the button ASSIGN ASSETS

Click PAGES

Select applicable AD Accounts

Click SAVE CHANGES

If all of this has been done correctly, the manager is now ready to run ads on that page.
